8 ball

I have been tracking these crows for some time.  They nest somewhere close.  Several years ago I found a badly injured juvenile crow that died a day or two later .  Whenever I walked close to the body they would go crazy and flap about the trees above my head.  That lasted for about a month.

Ok so this was another fire across the river except in the end of February.  January and February are excellent for hibernating.  I was painting and making tiles but I bouncing around a padded cell I made for myself trying to figure out my art.  Scraping away the layers to get at my artistic core.

Halfway though February I took the camera out on a walk with me and some stray animals that hang around my house.  This is the dam that is very close to my house, I can hear it on a quiet day from my house when it is on.

Blogging Blitzgreig #5

3:22AM  I also have an adaptor to use the some old manual focus lenses I have with my dslr.  This is an attempt at a hand held shot of someone burning garbage on the other side of the Saint John river.  I was using a 135mm telephoto with a 2x multiplier.

The 4th blog of the apocalypse

3:12 AM, remembering my purchase of a new to me dslr and the following learning curve that created a gap in my photo records.  This is a picture of a crow on a wire in a snow storm in early February.  Beginning to get used to the camera.

The madness part 3

So I started this painting the third week of January.  There is only 1 or 2 coats of oils on one thin coat of acrylic.  The painting is based on the top photo beside the painting.   This is a painting that may take some time as I let it dry between coats of glaze.

Post #2.  A dog waking up the second week of January.  It is a good time of year to hibernate. What can I say, I wasn't taking pictures of my work.  There were multiple reasons for this none of which could get me out of doing this blog thing so lets hold hands and share our feelings.  I feel warm in bed.
